In this article, we’ve taken a classic bread and have given it a makeover of chocolate. The bread is dipped and soaked into a creamy mixture of chocolate custard. Chocolate bread and butter pudding is a time-saving and delicious recipe. In my opinion, pudding is the cutest dish of all sweets. I like the shape of the pudding along with its taste.
In our family pudding is liked by each and every person. However, if there are some other sweets on the table, my family members will still go for the puddings. Moreover, if the taste of chocolate is added with it, It becomes more mouth-watering and attractive.
I was served chocolate pudding for the first time by my brother’s friend and I loved the taste. Even though it was something new for me but still I tried and tasted it. And I loved it so much. Further, I tried the pudding recipe on my own and it became perfect. Afterward, I thought why not to join some butter and chocolate for the better results of pudding taste.

Ingredients:
- 40g unsalted butter
- 3 eggs
- 8 slices white bread
- 1 zested orange
- 50g raisins & cranberries mix
- 75g caster sugar
- 1×100 gram bar dark chocolate
- 400ml whole milk
- 50ml double cream
For drizzle:
- 20g dark chocolate
Method:
- Firstly preheat the oven to gas at 4, 180C, fan 160°C.
- Take an oven proof dish and greece it with butter.
- Then cut the sides of the bread and butter each of the single slice.
- Then cut the slice into two halves in triangle shape.
- Buttered side up in the tin, set each slice.
- And scatter it with half raisins and cranberries.
- Next add the bread which is remaining and scatter the remaining dried fruit.
- Add double cream, chocolate and orange zest and sugar in to a heatprof bowl.
- Set a pan of stimering water and heat.
- Keep stiring untill the chocolate melts and sugar gets dissolved.
- Now remove it from the heat.
- Take a large jug or bowl and whisk eggs in it.
- Add milk mixture slowly. And continuously keep whisking.
- Then pour the mixture upon the bread.
- And make sure each portion of the bread gets the mixture.
- Leave it for 20 minutes. Then put the dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- While preparing drizzle, leave the stand for 5 minutes.
- Then take a small bowl which is heatproof and add 1½ tbsp hot water into it.
- When it gets smooth, slowly drizzle it on the pudding.
Serving:
Chocolate bread and butter pudding is ready to serve. You can serve it in an open bowl or in a beautiful plate.
